❤❤❤My First MAC Products❤❤❤

I've been trying to get into make-up more. So I took the opportunity to buy some MAC products. And also I've developed a new shopping habit because I am now employed :). So, I went ahead purchased a foundation in NW47. The MAC consultant match NW45 to my skin but they were out and we tried NW47 and it matches nicely. I realized that the NW47 has more reddish undertones than that of the NW45, so when I'm out I'm going to purchase that shade instead. I also purchased an oil-free lotion to wear before I apply the foundation to my face. I've used both products thoroughly and I will soon give an in-depth review of the products soon.

❤❤❤How Would You Like Your Eggs Scrambled?❤❤❤

Yeah. It's been day 4 since I've been off training and waitressing on my own. I must say that I do enjoy doing what I do. I mean, yeah I need to be more acquainted with the machine and the menu but I'm pretty dope at this thing. I'm SO happy that the establishment that I work at has hired me with no experience in a field with well over experienced women. I was very intimidated working with them because they are all old enough to be my mother and I just thought that working with people the same age as my mother would be kind of weird because...face it, it's like working next to your mommy. Like mom, get off my case. But I know they are just teaching me and I am taking  it all in one day at a time.

One thing that I've noticed working with these women is that they don't thoroughly do what we are told to  do. Women would tell me one thing, and do another. The managers are also always telling me one thing and never do what the other ladies do because they don't do things right. I just nod and say 'okay'. I must say how much they love forming me into their own little waitress because I was a virgin to working and waitressing and I'm learning what they want me to know versus coming in with habits from another restaurant.

Talking on the side with my coworkers, there are some who love what they do and others who wish they could get out as fast as they can. For example, a couple of days ago a co-worker told me that she was upset with working in 4 sections versus 3 because she makes less money. She then went on to tell me how she used to make more and she is currently looking for another place to work. Now I was taken aback because first of all, I was the fourth addition to the sections. I didn't know how to feel or what to say because she pretty much blatantly told me that because I was hired, I am ruining her funds. I didn't feel bad for one minute. Walking away and nodding my head I told myself: too bad bish. I like it here too and this establishment is not going to stop hiring bishes because I keep seeing people come in to apply, get interviewed, and there's a new face somewhere. It's the circle of life.

I make half of minimum wage but who cares! My tips are fab because of where the establishment is located at the docks after the tourists get off. Can be hectic but I love it. :)

So that was a synopsis of everything thus far. Now back to my new life!

❤❤❤Testing, Testing❤❤❤

Hi.

I know. Throw the tomatoes at me. I haven't blogged in ages. I have no excuse. I've been putting other things before it and I think it's time that I start blogging again to make me feel all good and stuff.

Here's what's new:
-I got my first job (EVER) as a waitress

Yeah. You probably thought that there was going to be more. Nope. That's it.

I work most of the week during the day, classes in the morning, and dance practice in the evening. This chick is going to be one hella busy body. But no fear! I am willing to make a schedule to set some time devoted to my blog.

With my new job I was wondering if you guys won't mind me venting talking about the ups and downs as a waitress (it should be quite interesting granted I work mostly 10 hours each day). I don't work on Fridays so maybe every Friday I'll keep you guys posted.

Just thought I'd stop by to say how much I miss blogging and I have not forgotten you all.

❤❤❤ Back On the Rock ❤❤❤

Hi *waves and quickly runs behind a rock*,
I've been on quite of a hiatus. I know you'll all want a thorough explanation but to sum it all up:

1. I was in Ghana for two months
           AND
2. I'm back in St. Thomas schooling.

My trip to Ghana was amazing and was the best thus far. I am planning on returning next year May right after I'm done with the school year. I've met lots of new people and saw some old welcoming faces as well. Besides that, here are some updates on some concerning:

Hair:
It's growing! lol. I LOVE it. I've totally made some adjustments and changes and I'm loving the new way that I'm taking care of my relaxed hair. I am so close to APL. My edges have broken off badly due to the braids that I had done in Africa...I'm currently about 6 weeks post my last texlax/relaxer. I texlaxed before I went to Africa and I got a relaxer while in Africa. I've been washing and deep conditioning every week. My goal is to be BSL before my 20th birthday (June 6). Wow... 20. lol. I'm getting old!

Love life:
Still non-existent.

School:
This is my second year at the University of the Virgin Islands. This year is going to be a rather interesting one I can tell...I have a new roommate from Wyoming. She's REALLY nice and we get along just fine. I'm currently trying to get a job here on St. Thomas as a Hooters girl. I'm working on losing a few pounds to make that dream come true. There is currently no dance team in the works because our coach moved her home stateside.

What I look like today:

That's pretty much it! I should be posting some YouTube vids soon for you all when I've fully gotten into the swing of school (just completed week 2). Until then...❤❤❤

❤❤❤ Nail Polish of the Moment ❤❤❤

Hey! So, I totally lied about posting another post that same day I was going to...but yeah! Lol. Oh my birthday was bleh. To be honest. I went out got some candy... a cute pair of shades from Burlington Coat Factory that I'd have to post later sometime...maybe in Africa. lol. Umm, but yeah like the post says, nail polish of the moment! I picked this nail polish up at a store in the mall in Ponce, Puerto Rico when I was there with my dance team for a competition. I cannot remember the store but when I do I'll let you. Not that most of you guys that read this are in PR...but whatev.

The brand is Princessa and the color is NO. 78 Lilac.

Love it! That is all for now...Muaahhh!❤❤❤

A Few Hair Accessories & Stuff ❤❤❤

Hey! I know I've been M.I.A. for a while. Still gathering up some last minute things for my trip to Ghana in a couple of weeks. I was thinking of a few things that I should blog about and I thought, 'why not show the cute flowers and headbands you got from Citi Trends?'. Ok so here they are (excuse the breakout on my face):

 Silver Flower Headband

Gold Flower Headband

Front angle of headband not on my head

White Flower

Orange Flower

They're so pretty!!

And a Baby Phat bag that I picked up to put to use while I'm in Ghana. I'm not really into Baby Phat (especially since Kimora Lee Simmons doesn't work with the brand anymore) but I liked the combination of the colors.

It has an adjustable strap that you can wear long or short. I'll be sporting it long.

Well that's what I wanted to share with you guys. I hope you liked it! I'll have a new post up about hair later today.

Muaahh! ❤❤❤

Welcome to HelloSika; Fudge Cupcakes Anyone?❤❤❤

Hey! Good day to you and thanks for stopping by my blog :).  I've decided to start blogging on beauty, hair, and cooking because they are just a few interests of mine that I'd like to share with you all.

Today I decided to bake some cupcakes! I bought this mix at Marshalls yesterday when I was out with my family doing some shopping for my trip to Ghana in {25} days ❤❤❤. I love going to the hair products and snacks aisle. I found my first sulfate-free shampoo at Marshalls once...but that's another blog post. lol.

So I woke up at 10am and my sister sent me a text message telling me to get up and bake the cupcakes. I was already awake so I did my usual morning rituals and headed to the kitchen with all of my supplies laid out.

I bought the silicone cupcake holders at Marshalls as well for $4.99. The cupcake mix was $7.99.

I started mixing up the mix with 1 egg, 3/4 of oil, and 3/4 of milk.

I was so tempted to lick the spoon! lol. I then poured the mix into the silicone cupcake molds.

The batter is so thick and rich! After I put the batter in I popped 'em in the oven. Meanwhile I mixed the frosting. On the box it has a yellowish buttercream frosting on the cupcakes but...the frosting was buttercream chocolate. I was like oh well it's ok.

The box said to have the cupcakes bake for 20-35 mins...buh...they looked good around 22 mins so I took em out.
LOL @ the extreme lopsided cupcake in the pink mold. This was the first time I've ever used silicone cupcake molds and I really like 'em. I then frosted my lovely cuppy cakes.

Lopsided cupcake :p *giggle*. Yeah so...the frosting was kinda runny. It was a tad messy. Then I served some to my sisters and their friend!

The plates are from Corelle. I like the hearts on 'em. And that was it! Nothing special. Just plain 'ole fudge chocolate cuppy cakes. I really like them I would have to say they were the best cupcakes I've ever made and I'd definitely buy the mix again.

Thanks for checking out this blog post. I'm not gonna ask you to subscribe, you can if you wanna. I'll post some more entries before I leave on the 15th.

*Muaahh*❤❤❤
